Nuclear Projects and Consulting is seeking an Estimator, to work remote with occasional trips to site as necessary, to support multiple EPCM construction projects. Assist with client pricing for changes to program. Assist with check estimates/ review subcontractor requested changes for all disciplines including Electrical and Mechanical. Part of multi project team running $M+ projects for a single client. In this role you will:
- Coordinate with home office estimators for larger estimating efforts.
- Reports to Project Controls Manager.
- Develop construction cost estimates, primarily on changed conditions.
- Lead and Estimate tasks for labor and material costs of construction projects, new and for changed conditions, interpret plans & specifications from multiple design phases (conceptual through 100% Construction Documents), and generate quantity takeoffs and pricing for all divisions of work including Electrical and Mechanical.
- Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex assignments.
- Use knowledge of general application of construction and estimating principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform moderately complex assignments under general supervision to produce accurate and quality cost estimates:
- Analyze specifications, sketches, blueprints, bills of material, and subcontractor quotations.
- Coordinate with design personnel to fully comprehend the nature of changed conditions.
- Coordinate with construction management personnel to fully comprehend the nature of changed conditions.
- Assist with contractor negotiations if needed.
- Prepare and maintain historical cost data
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Microsoft Excel expertise
- 4 or more years of experience, education can substitute for some experience
- Bachelors degree in math, business, accounting or other related field highly preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, document, perform, review and present multiple sub-projects with minimum supervision
- Communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of the project team.
- Knowledge of specifications, sketches, blueprints, bills of material, and subcontractor quotations
- Ability to travel to the Scoville, ID site on an as needed basis
- Experience large scale heavy industrial projects highly preferred.
- Experience with Sage Estimating (aka Timberline Estimating Software or equivalent) is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $87,200 to $150,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, For “remote” positions, salary to be offered is geographic dependent. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Essential Functions:
Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

U.S. Citizenship required. Valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
