At Williams, we’re powering a cleaner, more connected future, and that starts with you. Here, your work fuels communities, drives innovation, and helps deliver reliable energy the world depends on. Join a Fortune 500 team that invests in your growth, values your contributions, and challenges you to make a lasting impact every day.
The Senior Construction Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of power generation construction projects and serves as the company field representative and single point of contact for all construction-related activities, including coordination of work by others.
You will lead teams and collaborate with construction management and inspection teams across generating facility construction — turbine and generator installation, HRSG and heat-recovery erection, balance-of-plant mechanical and piping, high-voltage electrical and substation work, controls installation, and commissioning support — with safety as the highest priority. The role holds accountability for front-end planning, construction estimate development and analysis, input on contracting strategy and contractor qualification and selection, contract management, review and acceptance of the contractor’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and QA/QC staffing plans, construction cost and schedule management, and liaison activities with Operations, Engineering, and the Commissioning team. You will informally lead the on-site construction team (typically 5 to 15 reports) and may be assigned to projects of varying size, scope, and complexity.
In this West region role within Williams’ growing Power organization, you’ll focus on maintenance capital: the planned investment we make in operating power generation facilities to keep them safe, reliable, and available, including equipment repairs, replacements, upgrades, and reliability improvements. You’ll be the field leader who turns plans into safe, high-quality work on live, operating sites, often during tight planned outage windows where schedule and coordination matter most. You’ll work hand in hand with plant operations and maintenance teams and the project managers who plan this work, and you’ll help build the field execution base for a West team that is growing along with the region’s power portfolio.
Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.
