You will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap from initial concept through launch and adoption. Working closely with engineering, user experience, and OCI service teams, you will establish a shared application model and bring together resource inventory, observability, cost management, security insights, and operational workflows. You will build and develop a product management team, secure alignment across organizations, and translate complex customer needs into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated success leading complex technology products.
- A strong understanding of how applications are built, deployed, and operated in the cloud, backed by 5+ years of experience building developer-centric products, such as: internal developer platforms, developer toolchains, or CI/CD pipelines
- 5+ years of people management experience developing product managers and coordinating delivery across multiple teams.
- Strong customer research, analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Superlative communication skills and the ability to influence executive stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
- Technical fluency in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, APIs, resource management, observability, security, and automation.
- A record of taking products from discovery through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Market and customer insight: Identify unmet needs across application owners, developers, platform engineers, and operations teams. Assess competing approaches to application management and define OCI’s target customers, differentiated value, and investment priorities.
- Application model and onboarding: Define how customers discover, group, tag, and maintain cloud resources as applications. Establish requirements for application metadata, ownership, resource associations, and onboarding through the Console, APIs, CLI, and infrastructure as code.
- Unified application experience: Deliver an integrated view of application inventory, costs, health, performance, security findings, and operational issues. Enable customers to move from application-level insights into the relevant OCI services for investigation and action.
- Roadmap and execution: Own the roadmap from an initial release through broader service coverage and enterprise adoption. Translate customer problems into requirements and acceptance criteria, balancing usability, technical dependencies, reliability, and delivery commitments.
- Product and team leadership: Hire, coach, and develop product managers. Establish clear ownership, performance expectations, and development plans while communicating product direction, investment decisions, and delivery tradeoffs to leadership.
- Cross-service alignment: Partner with OCI teams responsible for resource discovery, identity, observability, security, billing, and automation. Align application definitions, permissions, integration contracts, and customer workflows across services.
- Customer outcomes and improvement: Establish success measures such as onboarding completion, application coverage, active usage, and time required to investigate operational issues. Use customer feedback, usability research, and product telemetry to improve adoption and reduce operational effort.
- Launch and adoption: Recruit design partners and early adopters to validate the experience. Coordinate positioning, launch readiness, documentation, demonstrations, and field enablement, and incorporate post-launch learning into subsequent releases.
