Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an Outbound Product Manager to help customers understand and adopt the Container Services portfolio, including Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Container Instances, and Functions. You will connect individual service capabilities into clear customer use cases, communicate architectural and business value, and help customers choose appropriate solutions for their workloads.
This is an individual contributor role with ownership of outbound programs across the portfolio. Working closely with service product managers, engineering, product marketing, solutions architects, and field teams, you will develop positioning, coordinate launches, deliver enablement, and execute adoption programs. You will also bring customer and competitive insights back to product teams, helping translate market needs into actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate brings:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, technical product marketing, solutions architecture, or related cloud technology roles.
- Strong technical understanding of Kubernetes, containers, serverless applications, and cloud infrastructure, with familiarity across DevOps workflows, security, networking, and cloud economics.
- Experience executing product launches, technical go-to-market programs, field enablement, or customer adoption initiatives.
- The ability to turn complex capabilities into clear positioning, presentations, solution briefs, and customer-facing technical content.
- Strong customer research and analytical skills, including experience using market feedback, adoption data, or competitive evaluations to guide decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams, coordinate across teams, and deliver results through clear communication and influence.
Internal Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio positioning and use cases: Develop and maintain a cohesive customer narrative across OKE, Container Instances, and Functions. Partner with service product managers and product marketing to explain target workloads, service selection, differentiation, and complementary use cases.
- Technical GTM execution: Translate product priorities into actionable plans for target audiences, customer use cases, and adoption opportunities. Develop value propositions, technical messaging, and supporting business cases that connect service capabilities to customer outcomes.
- Launch planning and readiness: Coordinate outbound readiness for new capabilities and portfolio initiatives. Align messaging, documentation, demonstrations, field communications, and enablement with product availability and agreed launch milestones.
- Field and partner enablement: Create presentations, solution briefs, competitive guidance, sales plays, and objection-handling material. Work with solutions architects to develop demonstrations and architecture examples, and deliver training that helps teams qualify opportunities and guide customer evaluations.
- Customer adoption programs: Execute workshops, onboarding initiatives, and targeted programs that help customers move from interest to evaluation and production use. Identify recurring adoption barriers and coordinate improvements with product, solutions architecture, and field teams.
- Market and competitive insight: Gather evidence from customer discussions, competitive evaluations, win/loss reviews, and partner feedback. Maintain practical guidance on architectural tradeoffs, operational considerations, and total cost of ownership.
- Customer feedback and product partnership: Consolidate recurring customer needs, capability gaps, and adoption friction into clear recommendations supported by business impact. Partner with service product managers to inform priorities and communicate relevant product improvements back to the field.
- Measurement and continuous improvement: Track program effectiveness through agreed measures such as field readiness, qualified evaluations, evaluation-to-production conversion, active usage, and workload expansion. Use results to refine content, enablement, and adoption programs.
