We are growing and seeking to hire a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to support development and production of shipping and storage containers for missile systems.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Mechanical Engineering Designer Staff, you will be responsible for leading the Integrated Product Team in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles
* Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
* Managing the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence
* Managing drawing releases, responding to CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews
* Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits
* Leading the qualification and development of the supplier-designed item to ensure adequacy to requirement, environments, and interfaces, as well as on-time delivery and documentation
