Department: Human Resources – Talent Acquisition

SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is an entry-level role on Imperative Chemical Partners’ Talent Acquisition team, designed to build a strong foundation in full-cycle recruiting under the mentorship of the Talent Acquisition Manager. The Coordinator supports recruiting coordination for assigned requisitions across the organization — sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and maintaining requisition and candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) — while partnering with HR Ops and HR Business Partners (HRBP) on a smooth handoff into onboarding. As skills and experience grow, the Coordinator takes on increasing ownership of the recruiting process, building toward a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter career path.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with full-cycle recruiting coordination for assigned requisitions, from intake through offer.
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, confirm role requirements, and post accurate, compelling job listings to the careers page, application portal, and job boards.
- Source candidates through the ATS, job boards, LinkedIn, employee referrals, and staffing agencies, with guidance from the Talent Acquisition Manager; build proactive pipelines for hard-to-fill or recurring technical and field roles.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess candidate qualifications, safety mindset, and fit for field or plant environments.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, including calendar coordination, interview guides, and candidate follow-up.
- Coordinate pre-employment steps such as background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review for driving-required roles; all formal offers are extended by the Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Maintain accurate, current requisition and candidate records in the ATS, and track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and source of hire.
- Ensure recruiting activity complies with EEO requirements.
- Build relationships with technical schools, trade programs, and community organizations near ICP sites to strengthen the pipeline for skilled-trade and technical roles.
- Partner with Marketing on employer branding content, job ad templates, and career page updates to support recruiting efforts.
- Coordinate logistics for job fairs and recruiting events, including materials, registration, and on-site support.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting process, providing timely updates and a positive candidate experience.
- Partner with HR Ops and HR Business Partners (HRBP) to support a smooth handoff of new hires into onboarding.
- Participate in ongoing training and mentorship with the Talent Acquisition Manager to build recruiting skills and take on increasing ownership of the recruiting process over time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- No prior recruiting experience required; prior experience in an administrative, customer service, or HR-related role is a plus.
- Genuine interest in building a career in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources, with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; willingness to learn the applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruiting/sourcing tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Comfortable engaging with candidates for both office-based and field/plant roles, and adapting communication style accordingly.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support recruiting events and site-based hiring needs.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
