Join El Paso County’s Department of Community Resources for a hands-on fellowship designed to help transitioning service members translate military leadership, planning and operational experience into the civilian public-sector environment. Fellows will work alongside department executive leadership and gain broad exposure to county government through special projects, strategic planning, performance management, process improvement, communications, stakeholder engagement, job shadowing and cross-functional initiatives. Opportunities may include spending time with leaders and teams across different divisions and county functions to better understand how local government services and operations work together.
Assignments and shadowing experiences will vary based on department priorities and the fellow’s professional interests and experience.
