The Sr Director, Technology directly manages the workflow across teams of product, engineering, analytics and/or user experience design resources. This role owns and authors business reviews of the team roadmap and manages priorities against capacity to deliver results. This role takes ownership over the development roadmap and drives results by inspiring a positive, high-energy, results-oriented culture across the team. This role works closely with cross-functional business partners to bring products to market and enhance our existing products and processes. The Sr Director, Technology sets the overall strategic vision for the product portfolio and product-technology team; is accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics; sets and manages the budget and financials; and sets the short- and long-term product goals and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). This individual manages people which includes responsibility for setting individual and team expectations, delegating assignments and managing performance, identifying talent needs, and coaching and developing team members
What you will do
• Develops the long-term vision of a product portfolio (or strategic capability) that drives strategies, requirements and roadmaps; understands the competitive landscape, and directly influences the enterprise in how it makes portfolio-specific decisions; owns the different product roadmaps that make up the product portfolio, and influences investment choices that yield long-term customer benefits in support of the vision
• Develops a culture of innovation and experimentation and encourages 2-way door initiatives that address customer needs
• Owns annual planning for the product portfolio and represents team in discussions with executives
• Develops and manages the long-term (3-to-5-year) view of the product portfolio (or strategic capability), making trade-off decisions on multiple products and product groups
• Leverages enterprise-wide resources to drive improved synergies and efficiencies within the product portfolio (or strategic capability)
• Leads and owns requirements documents (user stories with acceptance criteria, use cases) for all products within the product portfolio (or strategic capability)
• Owns the user experience and sets the direction for the design of the user experience of products within product portfolio (or strategic capability)
• Determines release goals, prioritization, implementation and iteration of products within product portfolio (or strategic capability)
• Reviews demos with the tech team and validates acceptance criteria for products within product portfolio (or strategic capability)
• Defines processes for team to effectively track development work and triage bugs of products in product portfolio
• Partners with relevant stakeholders, leads and owns the development of launch and go-to-market plans of products within product portfolio (or strategic capability)
• Identifies issues and blockers that may delay the launch or impede the success of products in product portfolio (or strategic capability), communicates to leadership, assesses alternatives to resolve, and takes action to resolve
• Ensures customer and business goals remain aligned with identified customer needs • Owns and develops mechanisms to ensure post-launch learnings are captured into best-practices frameworks or templates, evangelized and utilized in future product launches across the enterprise
• Sets the strategy for customer engagement and leads its execution Engages with internal and external thought leaders to drive product leadership within portfolio
• Engages with internal and external thought leaders to drive product leadership within portfolio • Leads and owns operational product strategy of portfolio (or strategic capability) and ensures alignment with other portfolio owners

• Owns and communicates a team vision that supports the broader enterprise strategy; establishes a team culture that aligns with Digital and enterprise leadership principles; and visibly ties team decisions to broader enterprise goals and objectives
• Plans and advocates for needed team resources; and consistently attracts top talent from inside and outside of the company
• Facilitates an understanding among the team of broader organizational goals and the role each team plays; audits team goals and is accountable for product portfolio performance against broader organizational goals
• Coaches team members on how to determine the appropriate performance bar; coaches direct reports and provides actionable feedback as part of talent and career development; and recognizes broader development needs across teams and develops plan to address
• Shares talent development best-practices across product organization • Leverages data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products and related P&L impacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders
• Works with cross-functional Product Management staff to drive work across other product teams and helps move and prioritize work into other product backlogs
• Develops and presents communications, frequently to senior leadership, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient
• Builds, coaches, and mentors a strong team of product managers while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency
• Elevates the team's performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team and working with peers and senior leaders to negotiate and remove execution related barriers
• Provides leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through change
• Leads product, design, and engineering teams to align, prioritize, and execute roadmap against Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
• Helps product, design and engineering teams prioritize activities, work through challenges, and build, test, launch and optimize product experiences
• Monitors technology trends, and anticipates their impact on the product roadmap; leverages this understanding to drive innovation
• Collaborates with the broader product and technology management community to understand dependencies and create a community of practice
Qualifications
Proven experience managing and influencing business stake holders
Experience building and deploying highly scalable and mission critical applications
Experience working with cross functional teams and managing engineering teams and product teams
Experience driving decisions using data
Excellent communication skills
Experience working with order management systems is a plus
Experience working in retail is a plus
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
• 12 Years of experience in software engineering, data science and/or product management
• 7 Years of direct team leadership experience across software engineering, product management or data science
• Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities in a large and complex environment
• Deep industry connections and the ability to attract top talent
• Prior experience building, deploying, and operationalizing highly scalable, resilient, and critical technology solutions solving business problems in a product model
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with software development teams to launch online products
• Experience with large scale order management and inventory systems
• Experience with CRM systems
• Strong financial acumen

Pay Range: $179,000.00 - $340,100.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
