Join a rapid-response engineering team focused on unblocking critical power and cooling issues that constrain AI data-center capacity delivery. This is an execution-oriented role for an engineer who can dive deeply into technical problems, coordinate across teams, and drive measurable closure.
The engineer will support high-priority sites from issue identification through validation of the final solution.
Internal Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve power and cooling constraints affecting data-center construction, commissioning, operations, and capacity delivery.
Analyze electrical and mechanical drawings, single-line diagrams, equipment data, commissioning plans, site schedules, and operational data.
Identify root causes, quantify capacity and schedule impact, develop recovery options, and drive actions to closure.
Work directly with facilities, construction, commissioning, design, operations, procurement, vendors, and site teams.
Support site walks, technical reviews, readiness assessments, and commissioning or integrated-systems-testing activities.
Track critical dependencies, risks, decisions, and action owners; escalate early when a decision or resource is required.
Validate that implemented solutions meet safety, quality, reliability, and capacity requirements.
Produce concise written updates for leadership that clearly explain the issue, impact, recovery plan, and required decisions.
Capture lessons learned and contribute to reusable playbooks, standards, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial power, mechanical systems, construction, commissioning, or operations.
Hands-on knowledge of critical power systems: generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, busway, and electrical distribution.
Hands-on knowledge of cooling systems: chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs/CRACs, controls, and heat-rejection systems.
Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical design documents and commissioning test procedures.
Experience working through complex technical issues across multiple teams and external vendors.
Strong problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and ownership skills.
Willingness to travel to data-center sites as required.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience; commissioning or mission-critical certifications are a plus.
