As a Business Intelligence Engineer in Network Evolution Science & Tech (NEST), you will own the design, development, and delivery of reporting and measurement solutions that power the global expansion of our flagship planning platforms — UPX (Unified Planner Experience) and CPF/UPO (the coordination and optimization layer) — into emerging fulfillment networks worldwide.
You will work at the intersection of supply chain planning, operational intelligence, and optimization-model performance. Your reporting products will directly inform decisions that affect planner productivity, plan quality, and automation adoption as we scale from a single network in production to the full universe of non-core networks: Sub Same Day, Quick Commerce, Distribution Centres (SDC/1DC/rDC), AMXL, Rural and Super Rural+, AWD, and more, across all regions. You will design the measurement frameworks that show whether each new network launch is delivering accurate, trusted, adopted plans — before gaps reach decision-makers. And you will own the reporting suite that keeps the NEST function accountable to launch milestones, model performance, and benefits realisation.
You will operate independently, managing ambiguity with rigor and judgment — much of what you measure does not exist yet and will be defined as networks onboard. You will partner closely with Science, Engineering, Product, S&OP planning teams, UPO/UPX platform partners, and Finance. You will present your analysis and recommendations independently to senior leadership, influence launch and prioritisation decisions through data-backed arguments, and contribute to the team's AI-driven transformation agenda.
Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of automated BI reporting that measures UPX and CPF/UPO expansion across every network × country — model accuracy, planner adoption, plan-vs-actuals, and benefits realisation.
Build the network launch and adoption measurement framework: dashboards and pipelines tracking optimisation-model accuracy, planner cycle time, adoption rates, and manual-process retirement as networks onboard (Sub Same Day, Quick Commerce, SDC, 1DC, rDC, AMXL, Rural and Super Rural+, AWD).
Design model-performance and plan-quality guardrail reporting with scalable alerting that flags when outputs or upstream signals breach thresholds, enabling proactive intervention.
Own the BAU reporting suite: weekly flash reports, WBR/MBR/QBR packs, peak readiness dashboards, launch-milestone tracking, and forecast-accuracy reporting.
Architect dimensional data models and ETL pipelines integrating upstream signals, UPO/CPF, UPX, and network planning tools into a single source of truth.
Drive metric standardisation across networks by partnering with Science, S&OP, and platform teams on definitions, methodologies, and data quality.
Independently apply AI tools to automate reporting workflows and improve speed, quality, and self-service.
Translate deep-dive analyses into narratives for Director- to VP-level audiences, and own data quality, pipeline reliability, SLAs, and on-call support.
About the team
Network Evolution Science & Tech (NEST) team owns planning optimization for networks outside the core FC network — 8 network types across 12 countries and 2,000+ non-core nodes (Sub Same Day, SDC, 1DC, rDC, Quick Commerce, Grocery, Rural and Super Rural+, AMXL, AWD). Our north star: every planner creates, analyses, and publishes plans through automated optimization on UPX — no spreadsheets, no tribal knowledge. Spanning operations research, optimization modelling, data science, and program management, we automate planning so S&OP capacity scales sub-linearly as the network grows. We're now building the reporting foundation that makes this expansion visible, measurable, and governable.
