SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force. Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges.
Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients’ success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.
Our group, the Naval Surface Warfare Analysis Group, supports the Surface community and components of the United States Navy by providing program management, requirements management, force development, and readiness support in Washington DC and the Fleet concentration areas. We provide timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical, and acquisition support to the Maritime communities, and related agencies, allies, and partners. We are trusted agents of the senior and operational leadership in the Fleet, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and the Royal Canadian and Royal Australian Navies. We play key roles in providing insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to national security and have tremendous impact on our client’s success in solving their most important issues.

Responsibilities:
You will provide technical and programmatic support to an Aegis Baseline Manager within the IWS 1.0 Aegis Development directorate (IWS 1AD). You will join a high performing team and be expected to develop a strong understanding of DoD, Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command and PEO IWS instructions and processes (e.g., DoD 5000).
We don’t expect you to come in with any expertise but we do expect you to consistently demonstrate strong attributes to quickly build competencies and provide the highest quality products and services to IWS 1SE. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range: $70,000 – $80,000.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management, system engineering), plus 1 year of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to, experience in systems architectures, designs, development, and test and evaluation)
- Secret level clearance, or the ability to obtain one, and you must maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering)
- Familiarity with Aegis Weapon System
- Familiarity with DOD Acquisition
