Disaster Recovery and Business Resilience Analyst
What does a successful Disaster Recovery and Business Resilience Analyst do at Fiserv?
You’ll be part of the team supporting the overall Business Resiliency program of the Global Business Solutions group. This position requires a proven subject matter expert with demonstrated competency in the planning, development, program execution, maintenance and testing of Enterprise Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis/Incident Management programs.
What you will do:
- Ensure IT Disaster Recovery applications are fully documented, tested, executable plans that reflect current conditions from an IT infrastructure recovery standpoint, and can support the recovery objectives
- Design, coordinate, and execute BCP/DR annual exercises for critical business processes, produce test reports and lessons learned. Coordinate follow up on lessons as required
- Partner with infrastructure and application teams to develop and maintain recovery procedures for Tier 1 business applications
- Review existing and proposed plans for recoverability effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist Crisis/Incident Management teams during service disruption events and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Ensure Business Continuity plans reflect current conditions and are properly rated for all business process areas and are cohesive and viable to be used to recover key functions within required timeframes
- Help identify Business Continuity risks (internal / external), assess likelihood and potential impacts and risk mitigation plans. Support internal reporting and tracking of business continuity related issues and remediation activities
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery
- 5+ years of experience supporting and educating internal stakeholders on Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery applications and strategies
- 1 or more of the following certifications: MBCP, CBCP, ABCP, CRISC, CISA
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Financial Services/Banking industry experience
- Ability to understand and apply DR concepts to both mainframe and distributed environments
- Knowledge of the DRII/BCI BCDR frameworks, and familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance as it applies to BCDR planning
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create detailed and well-organized summaries of risk assessment findings that can be easily understood by stakeholders
- Exhibit excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives
