A Disease Intervention Specialist interviews patients diagnosed with syphilis and collect epidemiological data (race, ethnicity, gender, HIV status, county of residence, pregnancy status, risk factor) with 80% of patients interviewed within 14 days of assignment, 80% of significant information collected, 80% risk factor ascertainment, maintain a contact index of 0.8, and close 80% investigations within 30 days of assignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited* four-year college or university in any major. College seniors who are in their last semester or quarter may apply and be placed on the employment register; however, applicants will be required to submit documentation to the hiring agency verifying completion of the Bachelor’s degree prior to beginning employment.
