Description
Leidos has a Science Coordinator opportunity with the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) supporting NASA’s Human Systems Engineering & Integration Department at JSC, through technical support for provisioning tasks supporting the flight food system for International Space Station (ISS)
Travel is not anticipated for this position, all work is assumed to take place at Johnson Space Center within the Space Food Systems Laboratory. Tasks include, but are not limited to: physical analysis of flight food components (moisture, pH, water activity, etc.), environmental testing prior to production work, and other science support tasks as assigned.
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance are required.
Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related science (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Microbiology)
1.5+ years of relevant work experience
Highly organized, analytical, keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Process-oriented and quality focus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in laboratory analysis of food, or quality assurance experience in a food production setting
Demonstrated experience in vacuum oven moisture analysis, pH, water activity, and/or environmental sampling

Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00
