Scope and Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to tray up, tape and de-block surfaced lens to provide optical clarity according to work instructions.
Essential Functions
- Properly prioritize job flow as dictated by color code system.
- Place lenses in correct location of the tray and load it on the conveyor belt.
- Manually tape the lens as required.
- De-blocks lens using lens ring and return laps on return conveyor.
- Initials the surface equipment verification log to confirm machine validation.
- Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and workstation.
- Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), prescribed safety and hazardous materials handling procedures, and Federal/State laws regulating hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Education & Experience
- High Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred.
Competencies
- Must be able to read English to understand written procedures, hazardous warning, etc.
- Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
- General problem solving abilities
- Ability to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
