This role is with KBR’s GAM (Global Asset Management) group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management.
Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day logistical operations of the organization, overseeing inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Coordinate warehousing activities to optimize storage and retrieval of goods. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate product adjustments. Develop plans and schedules for inbound and outbound shipments, catering to the needs of both internal and external customers. Ensure timely delivery of goods by addressing and resolving any detention issues that may arise. Assist in controlling costs by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-effective shipping methods in line with Department of Defense guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain records for receipts, movements, and issuance of Consumption of Materials.
- Ensure accuracy of material and quantities based on usage and consumption.
- Communicate effectively with R&O Planners regarding part shortages to avoid delays in material issuance.
- Inspect products for quality and quantity before transfer and issuance to ensure alignment with Material Records.
- Work towards meeting schedules and supporting customer satisfaction requirements.
- Assist in Monthly Cycle Counts, Annual Wall-to-Wall inventories, and receipt and issuance of materials as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent, along with 2 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in working with Product Receipts and Inductions, including familiarity with SAP Transaction Codes related to Material Transfers, Receipts, Material Pulls, Inspection Notifications, and Material Issuance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
