The Repair Technician, II provides repair services and solutions of customer equipment. Perform modular level repair of Zebra handheld devices under service contract in workbench environment. Load and test software applications and operating software. Use small hand tools. Performs basic soldering. Possesses a basic understanding of application loading of devices and basic PC skills.
Responsibilities:
Provides repair services and solutions of customer equipment.
- Performs logistical tasks, trouble shooting, repairs (mechanical or electrical in nature), testing,
and cleaning of customer returned products.
- Troubleshoots quickly and accurately based upon information given, observations, and/or
product knowledge.
- Understanding of the top common failure modes of products in areas of expertise.
- Regularly contributes ideas and supports the implementation of continuous improvement
action items.
- Performs tasks associated with servicing customer product using both mechanical and
electronic based skills. To include: Electronic/mechanical repairs, board level repairs,
cleaning, loading software/firmware, testing, and final inspections.
- Ability to troubleshoot quickly and accurately (mechanical or electrical issues) based upon
information given, observations, schematic fault analysis, and/or product knowledge.
- Learns and develops familiarity with a smaller subset of products and processes.
- Applies basic knowledge of electronic principles
- Documents records of work performed to resolve customer issues.
- Basic PC skills, MS office etc.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, etc.)
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience
Preferred Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Experience as a repair technician, having performed repair operations to required quality levels and job standards
- General math skills
- Knowledge of computers and test equipment
- Manual dexterity and visual coordination
- Prior use of various hand tools
- Ability to stand and sit on production line throughout the shift
- Works well with others

Salary: USD 20.31 - USD 30.46 Hourly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
