*This position will be responsible for all aspects of contract performance, including shaping and strengthening customer relationships, collaborating with internal functional partners on capture and implementation strategies, and leading proposal/contract negotiations.
*This position will be communicating across all levels of the LM and MFC team, and with our U.S. Government customer.
*Advisor to SOF GLSS line of business Vice President, Business Operations Director, and program management teams on Government contracting issues. Coordinates and consults with legal staff as appropriate. Collaborative plan focused negotiator with understanding of how negotiation strategy impacts both Lockheed Martin and the Government alike.
*Effective experience in managing a highly trained, geographically dispersed, and experienced staff. Acts as advisor to subordinate staff members.
*Focuses on instructing organization to meet critical schedules, resolve critical/complex technical or operational problems. Exciting and dynamic contracting environment requiring ability to envision results to resolve issues correctly the first time in accordance with program strategy.
*Closely participates in establishing and administering projects and assignments.
*Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a consistent business reporting rhythm.
*Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards.
*Financial experience and working understanding of direct/indirect rate development and application.
*Comfortable working in mixed fixed price and cost reimbursable environment.
*Frequent contacts with equivalent level managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, contractual issues, and general overall performance of organizational unit(s).
*Develop and maintain relationship of trust with business area and corporate management, as well as the customer. Briefs management on program status and contractual issues.
*Effective working understanding of Lockheed Martin procedure and application.
*Regular and routine travel to Lexington, KY will be required.
*Manages the negotiation, administration, extension, termination, and renegotiations of all standard and nonstandard contracts.
*Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
*Oversees the evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
*Insures communications are maintained for timely contract follow through by the parties.
*Insures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
*May direct the planning and participation in training of contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.

Basic Qualifications:
*Demonstrated ability to provide quality leadership to the program Contracts teams and customer sets.
*Partnerships with F&BO program and functional leadership in developing and implement strategy relating to delivering results, building effective relationships, with a focus on talent development.
*Contract management and negotiation experience for total program life cycle, including development, production and post-production contract types.
*Strong presentation and written communication skills.
*Ability to develop solutions to complex business problems in a fast paced customer focused environment
*Strong positive customer relations track record.
*Achievement of financial commitments (orders, sales, profit and cash) through the contract/ proposal management process
Desired Skills:

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
