Position Overview
As an Estimator at KIE, you will prepare, review and present discipline estimates for specific project proposal activities. In this role, you will provide estimating assistance and guidance to projects, develops conceptual estimates and performs cost analysis. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of discipline/service estimators, developing and updating historical databases, and assisting in the development of department procedures. Provides direction to others on project/program level tasks.

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design Build Management team are driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects to manage their multi-disciplined design teams to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Location
This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO Offices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and determine the most efficient means and methods to estimate the cost to construct underground & foundational works related projects
- Develop complete estimates for very large, complex jobs.
- Create logistic plans for material handling.
- Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines working independently.
- Train and mentor younger estimators in the preparation estimates.
- Review estimates prepared by other estimating groups or V partners to determine data completeness and procedures; aid in resolving differences in bid items
- Use recognized engineer techniques and procedures to conduct estimates and ad here to standard company policy and
- Must be capable of handling major technical problems encountered during bid preparation.
- Stay current on various trends and developments such as new equipment, methods, and procedures developing in the industry or specialized discipline.
- Prepare special studies or reports required by the unusual nature of some bid items or conditions.)
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil or construction-related technology, OR extensive and related work experience leading to a thorough Understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities described above
At least 10 years' experience in a related role
Demonstrated experience of a variety of Foundation construction/engineering experience
Strong attention to detail; strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Work, Outlook. PowerPoint)
Ability and willingness to learn and teach.

Base Compensation: $112,000 - $130,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
