HOW THE WATCHSTANDER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Serves as a primary liaison between the Government and other Federal agencies, and security providers regarding Residential, Travel, Cybersecurity, and Law Enforcement initiatives.

Represents the Government in partner agency command and operations centers; facilitates the timely exchange of security related information.

Maintains awareness of and provides information regarding security policies and services to the Government’s customers. Receives and processes requests for support.

Maintains situational awareness of ongoing security events.

Utilizes technology tools such as geospatial software and databases to monitor implementation of security programs.

May be required to return to his/her duty station or work remotely during off-duty hours to provide support during crisis periods or to address emergent threats.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS
-
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience of which at least 1 year must include security and/or customer service experience.

Required Technical Skills: Proficient with common operational picture tools such as WebEOC, geospatial software, and related databases.

Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a criminal history records check.

Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment; ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); customer service and problem-solving skill are essential.

Location: On Customer Site, Washington, DC. No remote work option

Schedule Option #1: Candidate will work 2:00pm – 10:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday with Monday and Tuesday off each week

Schedule Option #2: Candidate will work 2:00pm – 10:00 PM Saturday through Wednesday with Thursday and Friday off each week

The likely salary range for this position is $66,602 - $88,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
