Lowe’s Summer Internship Program Overview
Lowe's 2025 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE® 50 company. The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 27th and concludes on August 1st. All internships are paid opportunities. Qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.
Lowe’s Visual Space Planning and Planogramming Team:
Lowe’s Visual Space Planning and Planograming teams are responsible for end-to-end process ownership of macro and micro space planning for their department/category, serving as an advisor to core merchandising. This position will work cross functionally to analyze and optimize all categories within their responsibility, developing strategies that fit to merchandise guidelines, Lowe’s brand standard, and market trends, and executing those strategies down to the item level. The output of this role will be to drive sales, improve space productivity, maximize operational efficiency, and enhance the customer shopping experience.
Areas of Learning:
- Understanding of overarching Visual Space Planning and Planogramming processes, from strategy development to in-store implementation
- Ability to derive insights from data, and refine those insights into actionable, results-driving plans
- Comprehension of macro and micro space, and optimization levers to pull at each level
- Requirements gathering, business to technical translation, and training documentation buildout
Education and/or Experience:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors of business administration, business analytics, business information systems, or related fields from an accredited university with expected graduation dates of December 2025 or May of 2026
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
- Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Strong collaborative, innovative, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Relevant internship and experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
