Position Overview
As an Electrical Superintendent (high voltage line), you will be responsible for the direction, completion, and financial outcome of electrical construction operations. This person will effectively direct and supervise the work of project lineman, electricians, engineers, and other project personnel to establish operational priorities and maintain effective relationships with owners, subcontractors, etc.

Location
This person will start out working on a large transit rail project in Toronto, ON. Future projects located in both Ontario and the United States.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervisory direction of craft workers via the general foreman and foreman.
- Manage performance of productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Act as the liaison between field engineering and craft to ensure compliance of construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate and interface effectively with other superintendents and subcontractors, as well as Kiewit staff personnel and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
- Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties and inform project and corporate management as appropriate.
- Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected within the company’s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience within the construction industry, with at least 3+ years being in a supervisory type of role.
- Previous knowledge/experience working in high voltage electrical construction, such as transmission lines, overhead catenary systems, and other similar projects.
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, such as union agreements, jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to details.

Base Compensation: $115,000/yr - $130,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
