Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a senior strategic leader of Identity and Access Management. The individual in this role will be able to navigate both executive-facing high-level strategic conversations and deep dives into controls and the inner workings of technology solutions. They will be defining and driving execution of a strategic roadmap that relates security outcomes to value delivered for the business. The leader in this role should be curious and stay on top of emerging trends and threats, identity principles and technology, be comfortable with questioning existing processes and solutions, as well as display a keen sense of business value proposition. They should also display problem-solving skills, thrive when working across teams, and be an expert in dealing with ambiguity. They understand that a core component of security’s role is to enable the business, not just to secure it, and the solutions they design, develop and implement are aligned to the needs of the engineering teams and business partners. They work in a fast paced, technologically forward leaning environment and are not afraid to push the boundaries of security capabilities. The Head of Identity & Access Management will also lead a team that provides secure logical access to enterprise assets and ensures that the right users gain access to the right data, tools and systems, at the right time. This leader and team will elevate and streamline processes and further enhance the ability to manage risk for the bank.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages key relationships with Technology, Operations and other major business functions
Oversees adoption of secure access management and authentication controls across the organization
Delivers on all projects in a timely manner while meeting all financial targets representing U.S. Bank in a professional manner
Guides, influences, and mentors the IAM team to develop high performing, scalable, and customer-centric identity solutions and enhancements
Defines, manages, and communicates identity-focused strategic objectives to align the program with industry best practices, compliance frameworks, and organizational goals
Drives engagement with business line leaders and liaisons to integrate secure access management and authentication practices and promote education of identity principles
Leads team to consistently execute program level controls to identify, prioritize, monitor and mitigate risks and secure resources

Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in Cybersecurity or related discipline
5+ years of people leadership experience
3+ years in cloud security
3+ years product management experience
Experience in regulated financial services organization
AWS, Azure and GCP related certifications
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification
Expert knowledge of financial services industry
Demonstrated management and leadership skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of identity concepts and domains including identity lifecycle management and governance, privileged access management, secure authentication,
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze and enhance data
Strategic, curious, action-oriented leader who can balance moving quickly with an eye on long-term objectives

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
