Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty (PenFed Realty), a wholly owned subsidiary of PenFed Credit Union (PenFed), is hiring a (Hybrid) Escrow Assistant at our South Lake, Texas location. The primary purpose of this job is to serve as an escrow assistant for all refinance and resale transactions. In addition, this position will provide support to Escrow Officers and other company staff, credit union members, clients, and vendors, to clear title on all transaction closing through Members Title Company.
Responsibilities

Assist/Manage all phases of escrow file, including opening of escrow, coordinating with sub-vendors for title and closing, coordinating documents to notaries/lenders and borrowers, and recording of documents.
Review closing package to ensure all documents have been accurately executed.
Process all signed documentation to ensure timely recording of all recordable documents, and package is sent back to lender/Credit Union for processing.
Assist in clearing title and prepares residential escrow files for closing.
Assist Escrow Officer with customer service and client updates, as needed.
Review requirements and develop procedures for disbursement of all files.
Ensure all requirements for closing are met to maintain marketability.
Order all items needed to ensure file is CTC prior to closing date. Including but not limited to, ordering payoffs, HOA, releases, information for heirship affidavits, etc.
Perform filing, copying, scanning and other administrative tasks as needed.
Assist in receiving guest/clients into office, as needed.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Associate degree in a related field is required.
Minimum of (1) year of Title experience is required.
Knowledge of settlement statement and processing.
Strong knowledge of post-closing files for transactions in assigned locations.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel applications and settlement software.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not directly supervise employees.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. *
Travel
Limited travel to various worksites is required.
