Throughout the 9-week paid internship on the Operations Services Team, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture and immerse you into your role. The interactive program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, volunteering in the community, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths! In this role, your main focus will be to provide great service to our clients and the client-facing organizations within Schwab. This is a dynamic role that will allow you to gain a diverse set of skills. Whether it’s processing corporate actions, performing trade orders reviews, assisting with estate planning, or answering hotline calls. We work behind the scenes to deliver on Schwab’s purpose. Operations play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their financial goals and inspiring client loyalty. You will gain a unique blend of balancing operational efficiency and risk mitigation, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will learn how to analyze and understand complex business problems that are part of operating in the financial industry.

What you have

Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a current undergraduate or graduate program tracking to graduate between August 2025 and June 2026
- Ability to work full time and be on-site at the Schwab Westlake location during the 9-week program June 9, 2025 to August 8, 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to multi-task to perform multiple complex tasks with a superior level of attention to detail.
- Collaborative and relational work style
- Intermediate to Advanced technical skills with the ability to utilize at least 5 different applications at any one time, including Windows, internet researching, database systems, and email.
- Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose
- An innovative and questioning demeanor, who constantly look for better ways to do things, have a passion for service, and seek to exceed client expectations
- Excellent written, verbal, and time management skills
