Jr. DevSecOps Engineer
KBR is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Developer in Colorado Springs, CO.
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing secure, end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles in cloud environments. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement containerization solutions using Kubernetes or Docker. A key aspect of your role will involve building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ensuring a smooth, secure software update process. Additionally, you will apply GitOps principles for software delivery automation, ensuring that systems are both efficient and secure. Your work will support the organization's goals of enhancing security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Innovative Projects: At KBR, you'll be working on cutting-edge projects that support the U.S. Space Force's most mission-critical operations. Our team is pushing the boundaries of DevSecOps with state-of-the-art CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architectures, containerization using Kubernetes, and advanced automation tools like Terraform and Ansible. You'll be contributing to systems designed for real-time satellite communication, space domain awareness, and defense technology that are revolutionizing the future of space operations.

Work across multiple technology stacks, gaining hands-on experience with various languages, frameworks, and tools to support a broad range of applications.
Work in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, and GoLang, among other languagesto deliver industry standard application functionality.
Work with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Oracle, MySQL, and others.
Design, develop, and implement secure, end-to-end Kubernetes or Docker-based cluster and application lifecycles.
Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate security checks, deployment processes, and routine DevOps task
Collaborate with teams using version control systems like GitLab, and work with automation tools like Ansible, Maven, and Gradle.
Work Environment:
- On-site support may be required at military installations or secure facilities.
- May involve working on highly sensitive and classified projects, requiring adherence to strict security protocols.
Qualifications:
Proficient in tools like AWS Cloud Services, Gitlab, Ansible, Maven, Gradle
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
