BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERrnMILITARY FRIENDLY PREFERRED - HOH SPONSORrnrnZermount Inc. is seeking a motivated Business Development (BD) Specialist to join our proposal and BD team at Zermount. This person will be responsible for leading new opportunities and recompetes for our BD team. This position would include leading a proposal team through the development of winning strategies, solutions, and value propositions that consider customer needs and the competitive environment. The BD Manager will also support stakeholders on other opportunities to build further capture skillsets, accelerate understanding of capabilities, observe synergies across captures and bridge gaps to increase efficiency. rnrnDuties ResponsibilitiesrnrnLead and manage a team of business development specialists, providing direction, guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.rnrnrnCollaborate and drive proposal and capture process and process improvements.rnOpportunity tracking/gathering preliminary information for Bid/No-Bid decisions rnSupport interaction with potential partners rnTrack and ensure next steps and documentation supporting partnerships are delivered and completed by all parties (prime-sub opportunities - e.g., NDA, TA, etc.) rnDevelop and support continual improvements of company specific capture process rnLead solicitation response development efforts rnManage the design, build, and enhance proposal process rnProduce schedules, outlines, templates, compliance matrices, agendas, proposal kickoffs and reviews, and other proposal-related tasks and meetings rnGuide subject matter experts and other team members to create technical content rnWrite/edit response documents to incorporate win strategy and themes, differentiators, and technical solutions into proposal documents in a clearly articulated, consistent manner, reflecting a clear understanding of the requirements rnSupport other proposal operations activities, including boilerplate material library development/maintenance and process improvement initiatives rnLead and host color proposal reviews rnBuild proposal budget and cost proposal rnEnsure proposal submissions are compliant with solicitation requirements rnOther duties as assigned.rnrnQualificationsrnrn5-7 years of related experience in a combination of some or all the following: Business Development; Capture Management; Proposal Management; or Program Management.rnUnderstanding of federal acquisition policies, processes, procedures, and contracting laws. rnUnderstanding of the full proposal life cycle is required (i.e., procurement, solicitation processes, and compliant proposal production). rnExcellent written and oral communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple simultaneous proposal efforts rnDemonstrated experience managing and coordinating proposals responses by planning resource assignments, performing quality assurance, and installing processes, tools, and templates for team use rnExperience with managing capture efforts or a proven understanding of the customer's mission and the associated technical domains. rnExperience with developing solutions and content (with subject matter expert support) for assigned opportunities with an understanding of bid price sensitivity, applying an overarching pricing strategy to design-to-cost offering development reflected in an integrated technical, management, and price win strategy. rnAbility to work across industry to determine teaming strategies and represent the company in a highly ethical manner.rnHave a working knowledge of US Government contracting, contract types and procurement processes. rnExperience and skills with communication and technical applications. rnExperience with research and analysis from various data sources rnPresentation skills necessary to present to internal leadership and team members. rnrnrnEducationrnBachelor preferable but professional experience is Permitted.rnrnBachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, Communications or a related field.rn3-5 years of experience as a proposal manager or business development Manager as well as experience directly supporting a Cybersecurity or Information Technology company.rnrnrnCertifications and Training (Preferred)rnA minimum of at least one of the following security certifications:rnrnInformation Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv3)rnProject Management Professional (PMP)rnSecurity+rnScrum MasterrnCertified Manager Certification (CM)rnOther related certificationrnrnrnHours of OperationrnrnBusiness Hours: 8:00 am EST - 4:30 pm EST.rnrnrnWork LocationrnOnsite at Zermount Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.rnrnBenefitsrnZermount offers a generous benefit package that includes: rnrnMedical, dental, and vision plans with significant employer contributionsrnEmployer paid basic group life insurance, short- and long-term disability plansrn11 paid holidaysrn15+ days of PTO and more!
