We are seeking a talented Cloud Network and Firewall Engineer to lead the review of our existing network and security infrastructure, propose a modern cloud network architecture, and drive its implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud networking and a strong understanding of network and security devices, processes, and procedures.

HOW A CLOUD NETWORK AND FIREWALL ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing network and security devices, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and technical constraints.
- Propose a future state cloud network architecture leveraging Oracle Cloud services.
- Design and implement the proposed cloud network architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Configure and manage network and security devices in the cloud environment, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- BA/BS and 8+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years of related experience as a Network Engineer, focusing on cloud networking.
- Proven experience in migrating next-generation firewalls from multiple vendors to cloud environments using virtualized firewall solutions.
- Skilled in planning, executing, and managing cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of virtualized security infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize virtual firewall deployments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Experience with network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with industry-standard network and security devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
- Experience in reviewing and documenting network and security architectures, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $123,164. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
