THE WORKWe are seeking a talented and experienced SPY/BMD Technician and Instructor to support the Aegis International Programs team to conduct schoolhouse training.
Must have the ability to qualify as an instructor in accordance with Navy/ATRC instructions.
Requires customer interface, classroom and laboratory instruction, training reports and presentations related to the SPY radar systems for multiple International Program (FMS) platforms.
The individual will provide instruction on maintenance and operation of the SPY radar system to junior Aegis Technicians at US Navy Combat System Engineering & Development Site (CSEDS). Requires some travel.
This position requires the development of Curriculum materials for International Programs on the Operations & Maintenance of the SPY radar system. Additional responsibility include, but not limited to, instructor led training, development of course content, student learning objectives; preparation of course syllabi, lesson plans, testing, and student manuals. Evaluating training materials, procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses material up to date on software and equipment design.

Basic Qualifications:Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Candidate will have at least 1 years of experience as an instructor or curriculum developer.
Be familiar with NAVEDTRA 131 naval training standards and instructional system design.
Have the ability to help create and update lesson plans, trainee guides, and presentation materials and instruct in both classroom and laboratory environments
The individual must be a graduate of any SPY radar O&M course. Must have the ability to discuss the SPY radar in terms of operational and tactical concepts and have field experience in operation and/or repair of the AN/SPY-1 Radar system.
Graduate of U.S. Navy Training SPY-1 Radar System Maintenance course with relevant Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) knowledge and experience
Experience directly related to the employment of the Aegis Combat System, IAMD tactical and technical application, mission planning, and training systems.
Candidate must be able to maintain a secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:Qualified as Master Training Specialist
BMD experience
SPY NECs: (1337 SPY Tech), 1387 (SPY-1 Baseline 9C BMD 5.0), or 1388 (SPY-1B Baseline 9A)
Instruct Foreign and U.S. Navy Military personnel on the Aegis Weapons System.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
