SUMMARY
Performs complex inspection procedures on all types of circuit boards and assemblies to ensure quality levels are met at pre-ship and at the final stages of production. Coordinates with Quality Supervision and Engineering to determine the source of defects. Trains and develops Quality Auditors in Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Guides QA Auditors in the performance of their daily duties and provides feedback to Supervisors on team members’ performance
• Supports Technical Supervisor-Quality in scheduling work assignments, and training employees
• Ensures QA inspection demands are met by shifting manpower to areas of need as production changes occur
• Conducts intricate visual inspection of complex assemblies and sub-assemblies applying knowledge of electrical principles and interpretation of IPC to ensure conformance with quality standards
• Follows site non-conformance procedure and segregates non-conforming product as needed
• Ensures parts conform to customer quality standards as documented in visual aid, refers findings to Manufacturing for correction
• Performs daily Layered Process Audit, ensuring all parts, materials and tools are available for production
• Recommends improvements to the inspection process
• Assists with training team members and coordinates OJT
• Drives 5s within work area
• Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma OR equivalent and one to three years experience in a relevant Jabil position OR equivalent external work experience
Advanced PC skills and training and experience in applicable software packages
Advanced reading, writing and math skills
Certified IPC Specialist
Knowledge of basic electrical principles

Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Frequently required to walk, reach, bend, lift and carry equipment up to 35 lbs
Required vision abilities include close vision and extensive use of computer monitor screen and inspection equipment
Safety glasses and steel toed shoes required on the manufacturing floor, receiving inspection, receiving, stockroom and shipping areas.
