What does a successful Senior Accounting Manager do?
You will be responsible for planning and direction of team activities related to general accounting functions, reconciliation activities and reporting. This team provides accounting services and support to Fiserv's German and Austrian business units.
What you will do:
- Deliver timely and accurate financial processing, month-end close, cash management reports and GL reconciliations for DACH region;
- Provide support to the German in-country controller in respect of local statutory and regulatory reporting;
- Lead resolution of accounting issues and perform and lead monthly balance sheet reviews for the German business units;
- Respond to external and internal audit requests;
- Maintain a strong internal control environment (perform control procedures to ensure accounting records are maintained in compliance with company policy);
- Work closely with the EMEA Controller and US Corporate Accounting team to ensure effective compliance with policies and procedures;
- Effectively lead a team of accountants on daily basis.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor or master degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline;
- A few years accounting experience in a similar reporting role within a large corporate or accounting company;
- Good understanding of accounting principles (especially for DACH region);
- Excellent English and Polish, both spoken and written;
- Experience and abilitiy to lead effectively a team in a dynamic environment, managing multiple and changing priorities;
- Ability to gather and analyze operating metrics associated with accounting processes and provide meaningful feedback;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization; as well as ability to influence people and work with teams across various functions.
