What does a successful Product Designer do at Fiserv?
The Product Designer will play a critical role in designing user-centric, innovative solutions across our platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and external vendors, to develop intuitive and engaging user experiences.
This role will involve working from initial concept through to final implementation, ensuring that our products are visually appealing, easy to use, and aligned with our customers' needs. Our platform capabilities include financial payment and processing solutions serving an extensive customer landscape of thousands of financial institutions and millions of businesses worldwide.
What you will do:
- Apply user-centred design principles to create intuitive and compelling user interfaces across the platform. Maintain consistency of design across all products by adhering to design standards and guidelines.Create visually appealing designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into design solutions. Clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and gather feedback. Continuously iterate on design solutions based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and review sessions.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Approximately 10 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing showcasing your design work and thought process.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
