What does a successful Scrum Master do at Fiserv?
As a Scrum Master you will be dedicated to serving the development team as well as internal delivery and discipline leaders to ensure Agile process is followed and Scrum teams are delivering on their commitments.
What you will do:
- Help us to grow a healthy, constructive, respectful and productive culture
- Coach and assist teams and other scrum masters to work effectively in an adaptive Agile environment
- Gather data and observe trends across teams to support driving continuous improvement
- Contribute to measuring efficiency and building this into what the teams do
- Facilitate Agile rituals for the scrum teams
- Work with the Delivery Leads to establish metrics for success
- Help teams to find ways to collaborate, share successes and take responsibility for learnings
- Assist and support teams to remove blockages and impediments
- Take ownership of the agile practice and ways of working for our scrum teams, acting as the internal process owner
What you will need to have:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Scrum Master (or equivalent experience with other agile methodologies)
- Proven experience with the Scrum framework and teachings as well as ability to apply this pragmatically to a services and client delivery focused environment
- A deep understanding of Agile practices, principles and values, and their advantages and disadvantages, including exposure to scaled Agile environments
- Proven stakeholder management and negotiation skills, and ability to influence and affect outcomes in a changing and complex environment
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage cross functional teams
- A toolbox of techniques and motivation to help us develop scaled agile practices
- Strong verbal and written communication to enable you to build relationships with ease across engineering staff, delivery, and engineering leaders
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working in a culture where you will be stretched and equally supported
- Strong focus on client outcomes
What would be great to have:
- A qualification in Agile, Scrum-based delivery (preferably SAFe)
- Vendor or professional services experience
- Experience in Financial Services industry
- Some project or delivery management experience may help you succeed in the role
