Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a National Director of Consumer Directed Programs that will be responsible for research and development of state programs throughout the country, including executive level sales, leadership and strategic planning in program implementation and rollout.
The National Director of Consumer Directed Programs will lead a team who is dedicated to the development of policies and procedures specific to consumer directed programs in determined states. The National Director of Consumer Directed Programs collaborates with local, area and regional leadership teams on annual target & goal setting, and mentoring teams focused on growing consumer directed programs.
The National Director of Consumer Directed Programs has specific responsibility for ensuring that the highest quality and competitive service offerings are presented to the organizations customers while partnering with delivery and operations to ensure high quality outcomes. The National Director of Consumer Directed Programs also works to develop staff training in industry specific trends and knowledge, in addition to providing ongoing guidance on business development platforms, processes, and roles and responsibilities for the continuous improvement of new business within Maxim.
- Works with Regional and Area Vice Presidents, directors and market leaders to serve as a thought leader and in the development of the company strategy and training approach by identifying areas of opportunity; determining priorities; and developing new business strategies specific to consumer directed programs
- Works closely with Regional and Area Vice Presidents, directors and market leaders to support and contribute to the organization’s priorities, mission, vision, and core values aimed at increasing growth within the organization’s core competencies
- Manages a team who is responsible for the development of policies and procedures and IT software specific to consumer directed programs
- Assists with the recruitment and training of office level individuals who are identified to grow consumer directed programs
- Manages an active portfolio of state program leaders, and executes on the growth of business through building customer relationships and fulfillment strategies
- Directly assists a team of business development staff and mentors market level business development managers. May also mentor/support Maxim field leadership as they expand business development skills, forecasting, strategy and responsibilities
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
- Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials; evaluating options; recommending equity investments
- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
- Communicates daily with local, area and regional leadership on current market trends and opportunities
- Works hand in hand with Regional and Area Vice Presidents, directors and market leaders on supporting delivery efforts
- Partners with various corporate departments on issues related to the program
- Travels often to visit current and future consumer directed program stakeholders
- Visits offices to plan and strategize business offerings
- Held accountable to multiple federal, state, program/contract, accrediting bodies and Maxim requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing/Communications/Provider Relations preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in new program development and management preferred
- Must meet all local, state and federal requirements

- Ability to manage stress and maintain a calm presence under pressure and with tight deadlines is preferred
- Proven experience working with a program development process and scaling it to work at many levels within an organization and with a variety of key stakeholders preferred

- Other preferred skills include: motivating others, prospecting skills, closing skills, business development planning, selling to customer needs, territory management, market knowledge
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Proficiency in the English language is required
Salary:
$125,000-$200,000 base plus bonuses
