Markem-Imaje is looking for a Manager, Solutions Consulting for the US and Canada. This role will be in the Dover Imaging and Identification Segment in Markem-Imaje that has built the world's most comprehensive Packaging Integrity & Brand Protection applications dedicated to protecting consumers, ensuring compliance, and growing profits across the largest FMCG, Food & Beverage, Life Sciences and Extrusion companies. The candidate will be part of the US/CAN Zone team focused on integrated solution opportunities and must have the ability to work well independently and within a team. In this role you manage a US and Canada-based consultant team that operate in the proposal phase of the sales lifecycle, working closely with sales account managers / key account managers to support sales opportunities. You and your team will work collaboratively with the prospects/customers to ensure Markem-Imaje’s solutions advance their business initiatives.

What you will do:
- Lead, manage, and develop the US/CAN Zone consulting team to provide industry-leading pre-sales hardware and software solution consulting services
- Grow Packaging Intelligence software, services, and integrated hardware sales in line with business targets as set through annual budgeting process
- Provide customer and market feedback to internal teams for product portfolio enhancement
- Individually and/or through team members participate directly with Markem-Imaje sales teams in customer presentations for large and strategic opportunities
- Individually and/or through team members, converting customer requirements into robust scalable solutions through the completion of the “solution proposal document”. using the defined products and the CAT (CoLOS application tool set) approach
- Delegate and improve through consultant team the responsibility for the completion of the solution proposal document which includes scope of work, producing high level system design, architecture, and workflows.
- Individually and through consultant team, document the customer requirements to ensure that correct system configuration (undertaken by solutions engineer) can be determined prior to quotation.
- Ownership and accountability of proposal creation process internally. Ensure solution proposals maintain commonality with other similar applications in line with known Colos packages, are aligned with the technical requirements, market analytics and functional road map.
- Arranging & performing product demonstrations directly and/or through Consulting team
- Maintaining an on-going awareness of machine vision & other applicable technologies, advancements, and industry trends (ie. periodic review of related industry publications) to enhance Markem-Imaje’s consulting capabilities.
- Manage through team members the responsibility for smooth handover of solution design to the project managers, and subsequently solutions engineer for implementation.
- Provide consistent and effective communication, both internally and externally.
- Participate in and manage processes associated with consulting assignment, solution technical review, and commercial risk review.
- Collaborate with project management and execution teams to ensure proper ownership handoffs and customer outcomes are achieved.
What you will Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Electrical, Computer, Software or Automation or equivalent experience
- Professional experience preferred in a Solution Consulting, Business Consulting, Sales Engineering or Business Development client facing role
- Experience within the Food & Beverage, FMCG and/or Life Sciences industries is highly desirable.
- Manufacturing, Supply Chain, ERP or WMS solution experience is highly desirable.
- Strong Continuous Improvement Mindset and Execution Focus
- Strong Business Acumen & Sound Judgement
- Proven consultative and value-based selling skills and experience.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of sales achievement, technical competence, and customer satisfaction
- Must have exceptionally strong technical trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to present both business and technical topics to individuals at all levels of an organization
- Great team player and collaborator

Work Arrangement : Hybrid
Salary Range : $140,000.00 - $175,000.00
