A Day in the Life: G&P Commercial Technology Representative
As a G&P Commercial Technology Representative, you'll be a driving force in shaping how we use technology to optimize our operations. You'll own key systems that forecast volumes, impacting everything from daily operations to long-term financial planning. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop new features, pilot user interfaces, and manage system integrations. You'll challenge the status quo by exploring machine learning and AI to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Continuously improve our systems by analyzing data, troubleshooting discrepancies, and responding to user feedback. This role is a dynamic blend of technical expertise, project leadership, and customer focus, where you'll directly impact the success of our Gathering & Processing business.
As a Commercial Technology Representative, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of modifications for our proprietary forecasting, natural gas liquid modeling, and imbalance management systems. You will also create data visualization and sophisticated analytics for our operations teams. Your key to success will be the ability to collaborate across all Williams functional areas to deliver projects that enhance revenue and maintain accuracy, reliability, and prediction capability.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
Provides support to internal and external customers, working with IT to identify system-related issues and ensuring defects are logged, tracked, tested and delivered in accordance with customer impact and compliance risk
Provides support for the creation and implementation of business processes, workflow, technology solutions and technology frameworks
Designs and develops prototypes and proofs of concept for modeling, data mining, and production purposes
Supports, designs, develops, tests and implements tools to analyze historical data for data inquiries, customer focus, market orientation, and predict future behavior of customers to drive commercial decisions
Builds sophisticated models that use predictive or prescriptive analytics
Prepares and supports revenue budget and forecasting, including monthly reporting
Drives collaboration between all commercial areas, IT, regulatory, and operations, acting as a go-between within Williams to provide solutions for all groups that interact, directly or indirectly, with the system(s)

Education/Years of Experience:
Commercial Technology Rep II
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, IT or related field; minimum of three (3) years’ related experience
Preferred: Master’s degree
Commercial Technology Rep III
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering related field and a minimum of six (6) years energy industry experience
Preferred: Master's degree
Other Requirements:
Well-developed skills in problem resolution and regulatory requirements
Strong leadership skills
Depth of knowledge and/or experience relating to operational, regulatory, systems, and accounting processes
Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Demonstrates advanced capability with SQL, Python, Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, ADF, PowerAutomate)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
