The Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team at Leidos currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor to work out of our Ladson, SC location. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC manufacturing facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.
The Manufacturing Supervisor requires someone who has a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business needs. This is a low to mid volume manufacturing environment with a high product mix. To be successful, it will require flexible and innovative manufacturing techniques coupled with strong communication skills. This role requires critical thinking and problem solving to ensure smooth production execution of commitments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on tactical leader who will lead by example, set clear expectations, and drive a positive culture of excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all related production activities associated with assigned projects and products
- Lead and manage up to 20 manufacturing employees
- Manage and allocate resources as need to maintain production schedules
- Maintain production status information for assigned projects and products
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Program Management to develop and maintain production commitments
- Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Act as hiring manager for resource needs within team/department
- Conduct performance reviews with regular check-ins
- Effective time management with ability to identify, prioritize, and escalate risk
- Ensure all areas comply with EHS and other regulatory requirements
- Ensure all documentation and training records are maintained and updated regularly
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience. May consider equivalent working experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or operations
- 5+ years’ experience leading manufacturing teams or projects
- 3+ years’ experience with ERP tools
- Above average experience utilizing MS applications
- Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Prior experience with the manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies, security, or aviation related products
- Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of engineering principles
- Experience with CostPoint MRP System
- Experience with PowerBI, QuickBooks, or other data analytic systems
- Certification or working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience working in an ISO certified environment

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
