The Role

Some of the opportunities you will have:
- Assist in gathering and organizing client data.
- Support supervisors and managers to prepare and review tax deliverables for clients leveraging our proprietary technology solutions.
- Work with third party tax software applications to facilitate the preparation and review of federal and state and local tax compliance deliverables.
- Participate in the development of custom tax automation solutions to improve efficiencies.
- Identify process improvements and suggest technology driven solutions.
- Mentor and guide interns and associates.
- Support supervisors and managers to manage client relationships.
The Team
The Center of Advanced Tax Technology (CATT) is among the fastest-growing practice groups within RSM Tax, dedicated to elevating our clients' experience. Our dynamic team, comprised of professionals with diverse expertise in tax functions, technical skills, technology development, and project management, is focused on delivering comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services. We consult and execute on various client-centric initiatives, including process improvement, tool development, and implementation.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Computer Science with minor in Accounting or relevant educational or professional experience
• 2+ years’ experience in partnership or individual tax compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge and experience with tax compliance systems or financial systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a hybrid team environment, that involves virtual and in-person team collaboration.
• Ability to complete work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy and precision.
Preferred:
• Working knowledge of analytics, data management, statistics, accounting, and computer applications
• Knowledge and experience with tax compliance systems or financial systems
• Alteryx experience a plus
• Actively pursuing accreditation as a CPA in state of practice/primary office or Enrolled Agent

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $84,200 - $159,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
