The Asset Liability Management (ALM) team is a team within our Corporate Treasury department. We are responsible for balance sheet management and strategy, portfolio and brokered deposit notional investment allocation decisions, balance sheet modeling and analytics, market risk management, ALM derivatives, funds transfer pricing (FTP), and net interest income forecasting. The overall team manages fixed-income investments in several portfolios totaling over $300 billion, with approximately $500 billion in total balance sheet assets and $85 billion in off-balance-sheet brokered deposit agreement notional investments.

Key Outcomes:
- Lead the development and implementation of a new funds transfer pricing framework and methodology, including facilitation of the project plan with key stakeholders across the firm.
- Establish and oversee FTP Policy and methodologies for transfer rates based on rates, liquidity, and capital frameworks and the interconnectedness of risk stripes.
- Develop suite of analytics and reporting capabilities, including decomposition of net interest margin by lines of business, products, and the Treasury Center.
- Lead a team responsible for the FTP methodology, monthly production and analytics, and the development of innovative approaches and ideas for both existing methodologies and new products.
- Build FTP curriculum and educate key stakeholders in the application and use case for FTP to drive business line led net interest income optimization and understanding.
- Collaborate with investment portfolio managers, risk partners, and product leaders to help influence the risk-return optimization mandate.
What you have
Required:
- 10+ years of career experience in treasury, funds transfer pricing, finance and/or ALM roles of progressive level of responsibility and a minimum of five years of experience at an institution with equivalent size and complexity as Charles Schwab.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading multiple individual contributors.
- Experience with PolyPaths ALM, QRM, Calypso or other fund transfer pricing or ALM software required.
- Strong familiarity with the industry leading FTP methodologies for non-maturity deposit bases and lending products, including experience creating and leading FTP methodology and a Treasury Center.
- Enthusiasm to work in white space and the ability to create innovative analyses to help drive strategy and influence key leaders across the company.
- Strong fixed-income investment modeling and analytics knowledge.
- Ability to multi-task on multiple projects and deliverables while remaining calm in a potentially stressful environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and executive presence.
- Client focused; able to build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence effectively and quickly.
- An undergraduate degree is required.
Preferred:
- Strong preference for an advanced degree.
- Professional certification, such as CFA, FRM or PRM
