Leidos is seeking an experienced Data Center Services Manager to lead our managed data center operations and ensure the seamless delivery of managed IT services across the enterprise environment. Primary Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the data centers, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for data center operations, capacity planning, and optimization of resources; support cloud migration efforts.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team IT and operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, manage service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure compliance with Federal and industry standards.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for data center operations, including capital expenditures and operational expenses.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate impact on data center operations.
Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, DHS, ISO 20000 & 27001) and oversee security protocols to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor data center performance, analyze trends, and drive improvements.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure rapid recovery in the event of an incident.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and clients to align data center services with enterprise IT strategy and ensure optimal support for business applications.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in data center management or enterprise IT operations, with a focus on large-scale environments.
Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including networking, storage, servers, and cloud technologies.
Proven experience in managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and experience in service management best practices.
Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback promptly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field.
5+ years of infrastructure operations experience across multiple disciplines (OS, hypervisor, storage) with competent understanding of hybrid cloud service operations
Certifications such as PMP, CISM, or Data Center Management Professional (DCMP).
Experience with automation tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and data center management software.
General understanding of ITSM processes and experience with agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe using technologies like Jira or ServiceNow
General understanding of cloud service operations, DevSecOps concepts, and Site Reliability Engineering.
Potential for Telework (if any):
Yes, with ability to be onsite upon request.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
