The Finance Risk Management (FRM) function is an in-business risk function within Finance, which designs and implements a cohesive risk management strategy and framework to adequately identify and mitigate risk while driving innovation and business growth.
The mandate encompasses liquidity risk, interest rate risk, capital risk and regulatory risk management across the Finance organization.
Additionally, the FRM function collaborates with the second line Corporate Risk Management function in the development and enhancement of risk management policies, procedures, and limits across the Finance risk disciplines. We partner across the firm to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity by safeguarding financial flexibility to enable the company strategy.
We are seeking a Director – Head of Models & Methodology to join the group reporting to the Head of Finance Risk Management.
In this role, you will:
- Develop comprehensive and consistent methodologies for risk modelling and measurement across Finance, ensuring safety and soundness while enabling optimization, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
- Guide internal stress testing scenarios and assumptions as well as regulatory stress testing interpretations across Finance risk stripes.
- Work with Finance partners and Transformation team to adopt an integrated and robust infrastructure to effectively measure and manage risk across Finance by steering implementation of models and methodologies.
- Enable deposit pricing strategy by implementing appropriate client segmentation to optimize client growth, net interest margin and funding resilience.
- Align incentives to risk exposures through reliable ways for Transfer Pricing at various levels (business, product, and legal entity)
- Partner across the firm to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity by safeguarding financial flexibility to enable the company strategy.
- Update senior management on risk management capabilities, trends, and any potential remediation work.
- Represent Finance function risk management capabilities, exposures and activities to regulatory officials and rating agencies.
What you have
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 12+ years of related work experience
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of finance and/or risk management.
- Deep knowledge of broker dealer and bank risk management capabilities
- Deep knowledge of Capital, Liquidity, Interest Rate and Regulatory Risk Management practices
- Deep knowledge of Enhanced Prudential Standard requirements and other relevant regulation
- Experienced with sweep deposit programs.
- Experienced with financial systems and financial data.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, critical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate sophisticated business problems into discrete quantifiable components.
- Ability to think and lead under stress.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
- MBA preferred.
- CFA, CPA or FRM professional designation preferred.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
