KBR is seeking a Missions Systems Engineer to join our team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. The successful candidate will support the design, development, integration, and testing of systems providing solutions to customer requirements to meet evolving challenges. The candidate must be able to handle task specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving. Support may include physical testing, analyzing data, and interpreting information. The candidate will prepare recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question. You may mentor, train, and provide direction to junior team members working on the same project. The candidate must be eager to learn to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) is the assigned tasking.
The job does not offer remote work, all work will be done onsite. Travel for the position will be <10% per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide PMA-231 as the direct support to Missions Planning Lead as well as a Block II Engineer in the upgrade of the Advanced Hawkeye (AHE).Overseeing the requirements, budget, design, integration, test, evaluation and fielding of mission planning hardware/software for all E-2 variants.
- Support the design, development, qualification, evaluation, test and retrofit of the Block II tactical weapon system.
- Participate in AGILE orientated Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR).
- Collaborate with the Hawkeye Cockpit Technical Refresh (HECTR) team to maintain compatibility and functionality during parallel development of the Block II weapon system upgrade.
- As a team member, liaison with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sub vendors during program development phases to maintain cost and budget alignment/milestones.
- Review, evaluate, and verify that the developed subsystems meet contracted Navy specifications and requirements defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science from an accredited college or university.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of professional-related experience.
Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen. Active/Current DoD Secret Clearance + SSBI completed within the last 5 years. Active/current Top Secret Clearance preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

AGILE experience (Jira)
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) exposure
DOORS Database Experience
Systems Engineering Modeling Applications exposure (CAMEO)
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: $90,000-135,000.The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
