Job Description
The NBCU Digital Media Sales Local Inventory team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Digital Inventory Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a deep understanding of digital inventory management and will be responsible for handling digital ad sales intelligence on a portfolio of ad products across NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations Digital, NBC Sports, and Peacock properties through inventory forecasts, cross-functional reporting, and business flow system management. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage projects independently, produce high-quality work with minimal errors, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. The Sr. Digital Inventory Analyst will play a key role in identifying business issues, proposing solutions, and driving improvements. The candidate should also be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specific area of inventory management.
This role will work closely with individual station Sales teams to provide inventory forecasting as well as fulfill ad hoc reporting requests. This position requires proficient Excel skills, extensive knowledge of the digital advertising industry (3+ years), and the ability to turn data into actionable sales information.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide inventory availability of ad products across our different platforms to station planners (including local inventory share availability of network products) with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Conduct detailed analysis of inventory data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize inventory performance.
- Independently research and resolve complex inventory issues, applying best practices and innovative problem-solving approaches.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and strategies to stakeholders at all levels, translating the data into understandable insights.
- Monitor inventory performance metrics, report on key trends, and proactively identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory analysis and management processes.
- Provide guidance and knowledge to the broader team on a specific area of digital inventory.
- Mentor and help other Inventory analysts develop skills and knowledge.
- Gain deep understanding of Inventory trends to provide recommendations to planning teams.
- Help manage Inventory Requests board by assigning requests to other Inventory Analysts accordingly.
- Recommend, refine, and develop new reporting deemed necessary for operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, data analysis, or a related role within the digital industry.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. High proficiency in advanced Excel. functionality (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, macros, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately, producing error-free results.
- Self-Motivated with the ability to independently research and resolve complex issues.
- A deep understanding of the digital business landscape, including an understanding of online ad serving (Google Ad Manager, Freewheel...Etc.) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with Digital Media Plan Booking Systems (Operative One)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Fluency in the language of digital media and online measurement: Impressions, CTR, CPMs, eCPMs, uniques, pageviews, visits, viewabililty, etc.
- Basic sports knowledge is a plus!
- Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
