Job Title: Controls Engineer

What we’re looking for:
As a growing organization, we are looking for a motivated individual willing to work in a dynamic environment, with a passion for learning, improvement, documentation, and delivery of superior results. We are seeking a motivated and technical professional interested in new developments that help drive industry-leading improvements in the food and retail refrigeration industry.
This Controls Engineer will be responsible for programming and delivery of complete and accurate programs for refrigeration equipment. Clearly document the processes and procedures to diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration issues and alarms. This will require a clear ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot electrical controls of commercial refrigeration systems.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Develop programs and tools to meet product and customer’s needs (i.e. Copeland E2/3, Danfoss SM800A, Carel PR300,/ CPCO).
- Engage with Engineers on the key deployment strategy to get our products into the field.
- Assist in development of tools and features used for customer system integration.
- Participate in development of control strategies for refrigeration systems.
- Support testing sequences based on field service engineers and available use and warranty data.
- Collect, define, document and apply customer requirements for controls strategy and integration.
- Implement recommended controls programming alarm thresholds.
What are the basic qualifications?
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or 5 years of refrigeration experience.
- Needs 2 years or more experience programming, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with controls systems.
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Knowledge of Refrigeration and HVAC fluid mechanics is desired.
- Controls integration of different customer interfacing systems a plus.
- IEC 61131-3 programming experience a plus.
