Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Comprehensive Solutions Account Manager (CSAE) to play a key role in the development of new sales opportunities and the growth of our Energy Services Comprehensive Solutions business in Canada. The successful individual truly understands today’s macro trends associated the global climate change challenge, energy efficiency/decarbonization initiatives and is able to articulate comprehensive business solutions that will help our clients upgrade their aging building infrastructure resulting in facilities that are healthier, more energy efficient and better performing for the occupants they serve.
The CSAE will be responsible for developing new opportunities and introducing Trane’s business solutions to target markets. This individual will have extensive knowledge of our offering, the markets, and specifically, the business drivers and issues facing these organizations in Canada.

Where is the work:
This position has been designated as remote and work will be performed in Markham, ON.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Must be accustomed to and have documented success in financial sales with long, complex and multi-tiered sales cycles.
- Has expertise in the financial, legal and technical aspects of deal structuring with multiple buying influences within a client.
- Is a master communicator – educating clients about Trane’s Energy Services and Performance Contracting offerings, persuasively articulating costs, savings, investment opportunities and long-term options for energy efficiency measures.
Responsibilities:
As a Comprehensive Solutions Account Executive for the Energy Services and Comprehensive Solutions business with Trane, you will be the primary business development driver for our financially-driven solution sales opportunities. You will identify and qualify new business as well as develop long-term customer relationships within the MUSH market (Municipalities, Universities, Schools, Hospitals) and with other customers in other verticals seeking value and financially-driven solutions.
- Provide knowledge and consultation to our customers on the financial drivers, legislation and requirements for energy based financially driven sales throughout your assigned sales territory and selected clients.
- Develop comprehensive business solutions for the customer’s challenges and opportunities, including financial and performance-based considerations.
- Develop multiple relationships with buying influences and critical decision makers in the customer’s organization, including facility managers, project managers, project engineers, purchasing, legal, and executive suite officers.
- Develop, maintain, and represent Trane in the marketplace with associations and legislative groups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of business development and financial solution sales experience in the Energy Savings/Performance Contracting space is preferred.
- Experience in selling financial and complex solutions.
- Proven track record of developing and closing business.
- First-hand experience and strong working knowledge in one or more of the following vertical markets: K-12, Post-Secondary Education, Healthcare Municipal Government.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft software including MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Exposure to Salesforce.Com would be an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
