About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced senior leader in the Finance Data Domain Management team to lead the execution of Finance's deliverables required to meet the enterprise Data Management Policy and Procedures for Finance Use Cases (reports and models) and Data Sources. The Data Management Policy and Procedures support Wells Fargo's management of data as strategic assets by establishing the companywide data management and governance process to confirm data is accurate, complete, timely, and adaptable to support operational and strategic business needs.
You will work with executives as well as RAU, report, model and data source owners across Finance to establish policy implementation plans and execute on their plan deliverables. You will lead process improvement, tooling, and automation efforts on these deliverables to ensure policy compliance is supported by optimized processes and tooling. Establishing and maintaining a robust user training and support model will be a key accountability. In addition, your team will govern Finance Use Case and Data Source policy deliverables to maintain compliance with the Data Management Policy.
In this role, you will:
• Lead and develop teams of individual contributors and managers with a culture of talent development and high performance to deliver strong data risk management, automation and efficient data governance processes.
• Manage allocation of resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives
• Execute Finance data domain's Use Case and Data Source governance controls ensuring appropriate management of data risk and adherence to Data Management Policy and Procedures
• Develop control effectiveness metrics for Finance RAUs, Use Cases (reports and models) and Data Sources
• Develop stakeholder, executive and Finance Data Council reporting on Use Case and Data Source implementation plans and controls
• Support exams, audits, RCSA refresh, and other internal reviews of Finance domain Use Case and Data Source processes and controls
• Ensure that Data Management Policy use case and risk rating criteria is implemented across Finance
• Implement user training and support model for Finance Use Case and Data Source artifacts
• Drive process improvement and automation on Finance domain's use case and data source processes
• Finance lead for ADMF (DMI's enterprise data management SOR) data and reporting requirements for Use Case and Data Source capabilities
• Develop risk-mitigating and policy-compliant requirements for use case and data source artifact solutions developed for and used by Finance
• Establish and support processes to align Finance reports, models and data sources to Finance Agile Products and RAUs
• Represent the Finance domain in meeting cross and peer-domain requirements of Finance Use Case and Data Sources
• Develop and execute data management policy-compliant processes and controls for Finance report and model owners' "Fit for purpose" deliverables
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 3+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
• Data management or risk management experience
• Process improvement or automation experience
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus
• Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to present complex financial, risk management and policy topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions in order to create understanding and influence decisions
