Job Description
Our Enterprise Product Advanced Advertising team is at the forefront of innovation in digital advertising, dedicated to developing cutting-edge solutions to define audiences and enable activation, optimization and measurement in secure, privacy-centric ways. Our team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the advertising industry, delivering measurable results and driving business growth for our clients.
We are seeking a strategic leader to join our team as the Senior Director of Product for Advanced Advertising. As the advertising landscape continues to evolve, we are looking for an experienced product leader who can chart a course for innovation, guide our product strategy, lead product development and drive the adoption of our Advanced Advertising solution across the NBCUniversal organization. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain a product implementation roadmap that prioritizes features and enhancements based on the needs of the Ad Sales Product, Strategy and Ad Data Operations teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging ad sales technologies to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing NBCUniversal ad tech offerings.
- Spearhead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from design to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data cleanroom products that allow NBC to exchange data with the advertisers while meeting their needs and expectations.
- Translate Advanced Advertising business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications for the engineering teams.
- Design and oversee the development of robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion and processing to support business intelligence, audience creation and analytics initiatives.
- Oversee the prioritization of features, bug fixes and enhancements. Track progress and manage dependencies with the engineering and development teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Help design integration of the applications using industry standard authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth2 and Single Sign On.
- Establish key performance indicators. Analyze product performance, track key metrics, and identify areas for technical improvement.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Ad Sales leadership, Ad Data Operations, Strategy, and Technology, to understand their needs and pain points in the ad sales process.
- Collaborate with Sales and Ad Operations teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains through technology.
- Ensure that the ad sales technology products adhere to relevant data privacy regulations and cyber security best practices.
- Collaborate with the NBCUniversal legal and compliance teams to address any potential risks and maintain a secure environment for user data.
- Manage and mentor a team of technical product managers, providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities.
- Help foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the product management team.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and third-party vendors to stay at the forefront of advertising technologies and innovations.
- Attend industry events and conferences to showcase NBCUniversal’s advertising product capabilities.

Qualifications
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field, engineering degrees preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 12 years + of experience driving end-to-end product lifecycle management, encompassing product roadmaps, requirements gathering, user story mapping, and cross-functional collaboration with UX, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
- 12 years + of experience of overall product management experience, with a focus on technical product implementation
- 7 years + of people management experience
- Minimum of 5 large-scale implementations using AWS cloud platforms including proven records programming paradigms, microservices architecture, and software engineering principles, with a strong focus on designing scalable, high-performance systems.
- Proven record of using Dataiku and Snowflake expertise in leveraging data analytics and visualization tools to extract actionable insights from complex datasets
- Experience with common software development methodologies such as Agile and Kanban. Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence.
- Proven ability to forge and nurture strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry organizations.
- Minimum of 1 project working with each privacy framework (CCPA, GDPR, COPPA, and VPPA), ensuring product compliance through the implementation of data anonymization, privacy-by-design principles, and consent management
- Extensive experience in leading and scaling product teams, utilizing a hands-on coaching approach to cultivate technical competencies and leadership skills while driving a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance.
- A passion for media and entertainment is a plus.
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Consumer-centric view with a proven track record of developing and acting on customer insights
- Experience with A/B testing, hypothesis validation, and user testing
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience managing and motivating teams
- Fluency with project management tools such as Jira, as well as analytics software
- Ability and self-motivation to work effectively offsite and with remote, global, multi-lingual teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Broad technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of frontend, backend, machine learning/algorithms, and platform products.
