Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the strategic execution of all store planning efforts by planning, managing and optimizing space across the store enterprise and leading the innovation of driving space productivity in an efficient and highly creative manner.
What you will do
- Serve as the key thought partner to GMM’s and influence merchandising strategy through design thinking and data driven problem solving.
- Partner with cross-functional project teams in Merchandising, Guest Insights Project Planning, Concept Design, Store Planning, Planogramming, Store Operations and Collateral Procurement from strategy to execution to deliver convenient and inspiring in-store experiences
- Coach your team to use qualitative and quantitative data to discover key trends and insights and to determine optimal space recommendations for each merchandising category in each store, to maximize sales and margin return on space.
- Take ownership and accountability for departmental adjacencies, and visual presentation that influence planogram development for all 1700+ stores.
- Lead team to develop macro space plans, design and footage recommendations, to influence decisions leading up to Product Line Review process.
- Demonstrate enterprise mindset to deliver a connected customer shopping experience across the store.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and drive a culture of competitive benchmarking to influence decisions, processes and best practices within the area of responsibility.
- Lead a global business unit for visual space planners and production specialists to deliver upon key strategies. Guide your team to partner with the cross-functional team and deliver high quality work within defined timing and action.
- Build and manage a global operating model that promotes cultural adaptation and understanding through formal training and ongoing routines, leading to integration of goals and outcomes.
- Drive a continuous improvement and LEAN thinking mindset within the team to drive operational efficiency and improve productivity over time.
- Use the knowledge of corporate strategies and evaluation of ongoing operations to consistently improves the processes
- Demonstrate accountability by continuously seeking feedback from SSC and field partners and taking swift actions to address areas of opportunity
- Staff, assess, develop and retain a team of skilled leaders and associates. Provide ongoing coaching to advance the visual capability and help the associates in achieving their personal and career aspirations through intentional development and succession planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance
- 10 years' experience in Space/Visual Store management
- 8+ years experience in Space/Visual Store management
