Job Summary
In this role, the program and partnership manager will be responsible for the development and oversight of CSX programs and partnerships managed within human resources and talent development. This role is essential in building and maintaining community partnerships to enhance CSXs brand and expand the talent and development pipeline. Additionally, this role partners with the Sr. Director of Talent and Organizational Development and strategic business partners to ensure that all programs and partnerships align with CSX business objectives, values and behaviors while providing updates to CSX leadership and community partners across the network.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in human resources and project management while being an excellent communicator, ability to collaborate both internally and externally and has a passion for development and driving organizational success.
Primary Activities
- Responsible for providing planning, execution, and evaluation of programs to ensure they meet organizational goals and objective; programs include Interns, Leadership Development, Etc.
- Responsible for building and sustaining community partnerships that align with CSX values and behaviors and strategic business objectives
- Develop and implement programs aimed at building a strong talent pipeline
- Manages and monitors program and partnerships budget requirements; tracking ROI and KPIs while conducting assessments and evaluations to measure impact of HR programs
- Develop partnership criteria and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness and expand opportunities
- Represent CSX at community events and meetings to foster relationships and promote CSX strategic direction
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align program goals with organizational priorities
- Responsible for staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR programs and partnerships and deliver recommendations aligned to CSX business objectives
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/4-year degree; 5 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 3 or more years of experience managing human resource programs/partnerships and community initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree; 3 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 1 or more years of experience managing human resource programs/partnerships and community initiatives
- PHR and/or SHRM Human Resources certification(s); HR Program Management certification(s); Project Management Professional

- Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple initiatives, programs and partnerships
- Strong problem-solving ability to identify program challenges and ensure that partnerships align with CSX company strategies and business objectives
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey program goals, progress and outcomes
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence effectively with all departments and teams to build relationships and execute initiatives
- Attention to detail and accuracy in program implementation and documentation utilizing Microsoft project tools or Oracle systems
- Ability to build strong community partnerships and collaborate with individuals at all levels of organizations and groups
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics
- Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required
