Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Chelmsford, MA is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations.
As a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, LMMFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments.
Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work Instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. To ensure our customer receives the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers develop, review/approve documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include:
•Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer
•Analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex
•Attend and lead program corrective action meeting, identify trends, assist in problem resolution and ensure responsible parties meet commitments
•Participate as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes the disposition of non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence
•Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards
•Interface with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues
•Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
•Make the final decision on acceptability of product

The Locale:
Chelmsford, a charming suburb located about 25 miles northwest of Boston, offers easy access to historic Lowell, Nashua, and the scenic coastal towns of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. This picturesque colonial area boasts New England charm, excellent schools, shopping, and dining. With a rich history dating back to the Pilgrims and the Revolutionary War, Chelmsford is ideally positioned for outdoor adventures, including the White Mountains and ski resorts to the north, and Cape Cod, 90 minutes away. Boston is a quick 30-minute drive (traffic permitting), while New York City is about 4.5 hours away.
Basic Qualifications:
• STEM Bachelor's degree
• 3 + years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Must have at least Interim Secret clearance prior to starting position
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• ASQ CQE
• Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action development
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma application
• J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
